~Happy July 4th! Summer Vacation Time
Spent part of the day on July 4th at one of my childhood favorite places...Turkey Farm. I love the atmosphere and food there. It reminds me of home and many memories of the years past. They have a huge flea market in the fields and I found some vintage treasures...beautiful antique tea cups from England and many other things. Enjoyed time with my family and enjoyed fireworks at the home of my childhood best friend that night after dark. A lovely day!
I'm at the local coffee shop to get online. We've been vegging in Michigan for 3 weeks. I love to come back to the country and see the deer and other little creatures scurrying around. We take country drives and the other favorite thing about being home in Michigan is all the trees and green landscape. Lots of farms. Right now they are rolling big bales of hay and the corn is growing fast. It's a time for us to be together as a family. Relax and be more quiet than normal. The kids do great. They seem to enjoy the down time also. My youngest kinda digs wearing the same clothes day after day and getting really dirty in the forest....although I always bring way too many clothes and usually I've bought new stylish summer clothes from Cali...he uses the same ones until they need to be thrown out from the mud of the river to the everyday dirt around the cabin. :-) Sharayah loves taking photos of the trees and lakes around the area.
