J.D. is growing up!

It's a bit blurry...(yep, 'I' took it-Sunday)lol My Joshua David is growing up. I love him dearly!I'm proud of him. He's a good boy. :-) He's taller than I am now...time just seems to fly by. I thank God everyday for allowing me to have children...a family. I am content in my calling as a mother!

Water the Ultimate Cure

I read a book...(it's short)- called, Water the Ultimate Cure....trying to motivate myself to get adequate water....minus the Starbucks, Coffee's, Tea's, Soda's and other "filler" drinks that we America's love to drink. Water is soooo important and sometimes the last thing we drink...yet it's the best thing we could do for ourselves. I'm attempting to transition into a water only gal. Not doing too bad. No coffee, tea or soda for 3 weeks. I'm not saying I'll never have it. But, I want to be sure I get the water first...then once in a while have a treat drink....our bodies are made up of mostly water. We love to look at it and swim in it and do all sorts of things with water. Don't forget to drink a minimum of 8 glasses a day.

Reality Week

Last night I talked to Sharayah on Skype. She is attending IBC and having a good time. She was all fired up from being out in the streets on outreach this week for Reality Week...praying for the community and knocking doors. She met some adorable kids that touched her heart. They went to a nursing home and sang to the residence there and walked around talking and making friends with the residence. She said she told them how her grandmother(my mother) grew up in Indianapolis and went to school there... and she-(Rayah) has been raised in California and how she loves being there around family and seeing the sights that she only saw in pictures of my family growing up...they thought that was neat. She loved ministering to the nursing home residence. All of these are good experiences that I've had and many of you growing up in church and it's nice to hear the next generation having a burden to touch people where they live. She especially loves children. Her heart was touched by the children they met and the students took pizza and snacks to the children who were coming home from school and played ball with them...inviting them to Sunday School. The kids were excited to have their attention and loved the snacks. She said many of the little girls were intriqued with her long hair. They were touching it. lol (We're used to that!) Her heart has always been in our childrens ministry here at STWC. That is my passion also. But, Sharayah has a deep passion of her own for Children's Ministry. She connects so well and notices children and their special ways. Tonight the IBC Choir will be singing downtown at the circle in Indianapolis. (I "borrow" pictures from her myspace!)lol

Happy Birthday to my nephew...He's 42!
